We are pleased to announce that, in order to help support economic recovery from the impacts of COVID-19, and to build economic capacity and resilience for our community, we have hired Filipe Figueira as our new Community Economic Resilience Coordinator. He is available to help support entrepreneurs, social profits, and associated projects on Cortes.
WHAT ECONOMIC RESILIENCE LOOKS LIKE FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Entrepreneurs are supported with workshops, mentorships, business plan development, and connected with the CCIC or other funding/investment opportunities.
Community groups are connecting to collaborate on funding applications and capacity building, making use of digital tools.
Resources are being distributed more fairly and infrastructure is being created to address needs such as housing, food security, culture building, and meaningful work.
We are supporting other communities in our region, through exports of quality goods and services, as well as sharing ideas, lessons learned, project concepts, and homegrown models for resilience.
